Jailhouse Rock

Jailhouse Rock é o nome do álbum da trilha sonora do terceiro filme de Elvis Presley de 1957 que tornou-se em um grande clássico da carreira do "rei do rock" e do próprio rock and roll. O álbum que foi lançado em formato de EP, nesse caso com cinco canções, é o mais vendido compacto duplo da história.

No dia 28 de junho o cantor Alexandre Pires (ex - Só Pra Contrariar) fez críticas a Elvis no Programa do Faustão. Tudo começou quando o cantor resolveu comparar Elvis e Michael Jackson. Para classificar Elvis disse que é muito fácil encontrar cantores semelhantes e deu até exemplos como: Altemar Dutra, Cauby Peixoto e Aguinaldo Timóteo! No caso de Elvis, segundo Alexandre Pires, já haviam os covers que cantavam igual ao original!!! Já Michael Jackson seria algo inimitável. É claro que não iremos adotar a mesma linha de raciocínio de Alexandre Pires, até porque comparar Elvis e Michael Jackson seria um desperdício de tempo, pois estes ídolos não se comparam, se enaltecem! Elvis explodiu como mega astro nos anos 50, os Beatles nos anos 60 e Michael Jackson nos anos 80. Foram épocas diferentes, tabus diferentes, culturas diferentes, todos tiveram sua importância em seu tempo e marcaram história. Ninguém se torna uma "lenda" ou um "mega astro", sendo tão comum e previsível como o Sr. Alexandre Pires classificou Elvis. Não temos nada contra Michael Jackson, aliás muito pelo contrário, sempre o respeitamos e o admiramos. Seu talento era algo inquestionável, basta ter um mínimo bom senso musical para entender o talento deste artista. Mas o motivo principal deste depoimento é colocar nossa opinião em relação ao comentário de Alexandre Pires, até porque não temos a possibilidade de dizer isso num Programa do Faustão. Também não queremos minimizar Altemar Dutra, Cauby Peixoto e Aguinaldo Timóteo que foram comparados a Elvis pelo Sr. Alexandre Pires. Como músico que sou, sei do talento destes cantores. Cauby foi chamado de "Elvis Brasileiro" nos anos 50 devido ter sido o primeiro brasileiro a gravar um rock! Altemar Dutra foi um cantor brilhante, sua obra deveria ser mais divulgada entre os jovens! Ficamos felizes de ver o filho de Altemar cantando igual ao pai e emocionando platéias! Aguinaldo Timóteo até hoje possui uma voz potente e marcou seu nome para sempre na história da música brasileira! Talvez Alexandre não se deu conta que seu depoimento poderia gerar várias interpretações. Disse que Elvis era comum e era fácil de encontrar pessoas com mesmo talento vocal, por isso Jackson seria algo maior que Elvis. Então ele está dizendo que Timóteo, Dutra e Cauby são "comuns" já que se assemelham a Elvis? Algo muito contraditório já que ele enalteceu estes 3 cantores! A não ser que ele estivesse dizendo que qualquer um dos 3 seria superior a Elvis! Enfim ele levantou um debate totalmente infeliz no Programa do Faustão, para enaltecer um cantor, rebaixa outro! Não é isso que aconselhamos os nossos leitores, ao invés de rejeitar antigos idolos ou músicas históricas, sugerimos que estejam abertos para a música de qualidade, independente se for da década de 50, 60, 70, 80 ou se for nacional ou estrangeira! Sr. Alexandre, particularmente não aprecio seu estilo de música, mas não é por isso que iria critica-lo sem fundamentos, pois só critico aquilo que conheço! Como não conheço o seu estilo musical não ousaria colocar minha opinião, seus fãs merecem respeito! Com certeza iriam te defender se fossemos deselegantes com você! Nosso ídolo "ELVIS" não está mais fisicamente entre nós... por isso vamos defende-lo toda vez que alguém seja deselegante com ele... afinal todo REI deve ser tratado com muito respeito! Independente se seja o REI Roberto Carlos, REI do POP, REI PELÉ ou REI DO ROCK... pense a respeito!
